INTRODUCTION

The General Nursing and Midwifery is a 3-year program followed by a six month internship. Examinations are though held annually. Students will gain clinical experience in various clinical and community settings under the guidance of teachers.

Educational preparation of nurses, who contribute primarily towards the health of the community, needs constant attention keeping in mind the changing health needs of the society. In the light of the changing educational system of the country, the course in General Nursing has been re-organized into a three years programme.
